1.1 These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of the services provided by TAXCHECKPRO, including access to our online portal and tax‐claim analysis tools (the "Service").
1.2 By signing up for our subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies we publish.
1.3 If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not subscribe or continue accessing the Service.
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
2.2 You confirm that the information you submit to us (identity, employment status, tax records) is accurate, complete, and up to date.
3.1 We provide a subscription service in which you may upload employment and related documents; our system analyses them and indicates what tax claims you may be eligible for, and you also receive tailored tax advice.
3.2 The Service is for personal (consumer) use only, not for business tax accounting of companies or complex corporate structures.
3.3 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service (temporarily or permanently) with reasonable notice where practicable.
4.1 Pre-Authentication / Card Validation. As part of registration, we will make a £0.15 (fifteen pence) pre-authorization (authorization hold) on your card to confirm its validity. This pre-authorization is not a payment for the Service and will be released by your card issuer per their procedures.
4.2 Subscription Fee & Recurring Billing. After successful registration, we will charge you £19.99 GBP per month (the "Subscription Fee") on a recurring basis, on or about the same day each month, until you cancel.
4.3 Why we bill. The fee covers continued access to our portal, document scanning, claim‐eligibility logic, and tailored advice.
4.4 Upgrades / Downgrades / Additional Services. If we introduce tiers or add-ons, those may incur supplementary fees; those will be made clear to you before purchase.
4.5 Late or Failed Payments. If a payment fails (e.g. card declined), we may retry, and you may be notified to update payment details. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your access.
4.6 Refunds. Unless mandated by law, subscription fees are not refundable pro rata once paid, except in our sole discretion or if otherwise required.
4.7 Price Changes. We may increase fees from time to time, but will provide advance notice (e.g. at least 30 days) before the change applies to your renewed subscription.
5.1 Your subscription starts on the date you make the first successful payment, and continues monthly, until terminated.
5.2 You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation is effective at the end of the then current billing period; no further charges will be made after that period.
5.3 We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, for non-payment, or for misuse.
5.4 After termination or expiry, we may delete or anonymise your data (subject to our Data Retention Policy).
6.1 You must keep your login credentials secure.
6.2 You are responsible for all activity under your account.
6.3 You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to upload fraudulent, misleading or harmful content.
7.1 All rights, titles and interests in the Service, software, algorithms, databases, materials, and content are owned by TAXCHECKPRO or its licensors.
7.2 You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
7.3 You shall not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law.
8.1 No Guarantee of Outcomes. While we provide tax-claim estimates and advice, we can't guarantee that any claim will be accepted by HMRC or equivalent, nor guarantee tax refunds in full.
8.2 Use at Your Risk. The Service is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to maintain accuracy and availability, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that all data will be processed without defects.
8.3 Liability Cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
8.4 Exclusions. We are not liable for: (a) indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages (loss of profits, loss of data, etc.); (b) liability arising from your misuse, negligence, breach, or third-party acts; (c) events beyond our control.
9.1 We may revise these Terms from time to time (e.g. to reflect service changes or legal requirements).
9.2 We will notify you of material changes (e.g. by email or notice in the portal) with at least 30 days' notice.
9.3 If you do not accept the amended Terms, you must stop using the Service and you may cancel your subscription.
10.1 These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England & Wales.
10.2 Any dispute arising shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
11.1 If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force.
11.2 The failure or delay by us to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
11.3 You may not assign these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent; we may assign to a successor.
11.4 Entire Agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and other policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
